Mother-Daughter Workshop: Going Green and Why It Matters

Join us on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 1:00-4:00 pm at The Children's Institute (1405 Shady Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217) for a fun mother-daughter afternoon of hands-on activities that will help you learn how to choose healthier and safer consumer products. During the sessions you will make green spa items, create green cleaning kits, discuss food safety and learn how to start your own garden.

Our keynote speaker is Lani Lazzari, founder, president andCEO of Simple Sugars and recently featured on Shark Tank. Ms. Lazzari will share her story about starting her own personal care product company.

The recommended age group for this event is 12 and over. There is no fee to attend this event, but you must register (space is limited)! Special thanks to UPMC Health Plan for supporting this program!
